Hi, I’m Lisa Ostler, and my passion lies in blending modern healthcare with the ancient wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda to help others achieve vibrant health and balance. With over 20 years of nursing experience, I’ve worked in high-pressure roles such as Emergency Room (ER) nursing, as a Flight Nurse, and in Public Health. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the resilience of the human body and spirit, as well as the importance of holistic care.

My journey into holistic healing began with yoga. I’m a certified 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP). One of my proudest accomplishments was creating Yoga 4 Nurses, a program I designed to help fellow nurses manage stress, restore balance, and find joy in their work through the practice of yoga.

As I delved deeper into holistic wellness, I discovered Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine that has transformed my approach to healing. Ayurveda’s principles guide me in helping clients create personalized plans that nourish the body, mind, and spirit, addressing the root causes of imbalance.

At Sacred Juniper Ayurvedic Center, I provide consultations, Ayurvedic therapies, and education to empower individuals to reclaim their vitality and live with greater intention. I love combining the best of Eastern and Western healing traditions to create a truly integrative approach to wellness.

When I’m not working with clients, you’ll find me practicing yoga, exploring nature, or diving into new learning opportunities to expand my holistic toolkit. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey to health and balance.

Ayurveda, often called "the science of life," is an ancient healing system that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. Rooted in the belief that health is a dynamic balance between body, mind, spirit, and environment, Ayurveda offers timeless wisdom for achieving wellness in modern life. Ayurveda is both a philosophy and a practical system of health. It views each person as a unique combination of energies derived from the five elements: Ether (space), Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. These elements combine to form three fundamental energies, or doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.

  • Kapha (Earth + Water): The energy of stability, linked to strength, structure, and nourishment.

Your unique combination of these doshas, known as your Prakriti, determines your physical and mental characteristics, as well as your tendencies toward certain health conditions.
